J.R. was born and raised in Big Horn County, Montana, where he and his extended family have been in the ranching business for four generations. As part of a large family, his early days were spent doing hard work on everything around the ranch: branding cattle, moving them from pasture to pasture, doctoring them, calving them out, fixing fence, putting up hay, and shipping calves in the fall.
He received a degree from Montana State University and has been a Farm and Ranch Real Estate professional for over 30 years. JR has worked and managed several large cow/calf, yearling operations throughout Montana and Wyoming. Ranching is his passion and so is working with the people who have built the industry.
30 years ago, JR got his real estate license in Sheridan, Wyoming. When it comes to selling properties, JR’s style is simple, down-to-earth, and old school. He will show you the good and the bad about a place and let you make up your own mind. He won’t tell you what to do, but if you ask his opinion, he can answer questions about how to optimize the money you make on a ranch, keep your cattle in good condition, and make good decisions about finding the property that will work best for you.
Right now, JR Breen is based in Wyoming and also serves buyers and sellers in Montana. When he gets a chance, he loves to fish and be in the mountains. He also has 2 sons and 2 grandchildren in Colorado.
